Define power couple?!

I started my fitness journey when I was 23 living in England. Two countries, a husband and two kids later, I recently only found my workout rhythm.

Taking it back to the start, I began working out only to have a flat stomach, I played basketball and ran around my neighbourhood in Luton. Upon returning to South Africa, after University, I picked up a habit of training at different gyms around Pretoria and Johannesburg and made friends along the way that I still keep in touch with and track our progress.

When my husband and I started dating, what first got me was his physique, only to find out that he had a matching personality, not only to his physique but to myself. We started out working out separately, he would work out with his friends and I would do my own thing. Over time, we got into the habit of taking long evening runs together and gradually that grew into going to the gym together.

We started Crossfit for about 6months until I got pregnant with our firstborn. Because I couldn’t train and the Crossfit box was far from where we stayed, Emmanuel stayed home with me and we got pregnant together! After our firstborn came we both began training again, him CrossFit and myself boxing, until our firstborn turned 1 and we found out we were expecting again. we tried to keep training at least until 6months into the pregnancy and slowed it down to just evening walks.

Once our second born came, we had to expand our income streams and so we decided to both do a fitness Course in Sports Science and Personal training. We figured that since we like fitness so much, we might as well turn a hobby into an income.
